Fred Moran

Advisor

Fred was born in New Orleans and moved to Baton Rouge when he was 12. He has pursued his primary interests from a very early age, raising cattle on his family property in Baton Rouge then becoming a contractor at the age of 18, the youngest in Louisiana at the time. Fred gained additional construction experience during his 6 years in the Louisiana National Guard

In the 1970s Fred and his wife, Mary, raised Beefmaster cattle on their ranch in Centerville, Mississippi. They had two sons, John and Jeter, and Fred continued in construction and development.

Fred founded Moran Construction Consultants in 1982 at the request of lenders in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans markets. He has over 50 years of experience with all phases of residential and commercial construction. He has been an expert witness on the local, state and federal levels. He has also served as a guest lecturer at LSU, Southern University, and Tulane

Fred supports various charities as well as St. Lillian Academy where his granddaughter Willa attends grade school. Fred continues to guide and influence significant decisions of the family business. He truly has the best of both worlds, as he and Mary are living their life long dream of raising cattle while living in the country. They spend most weekends at the farm with John, Wendra, and Willa.
